I'm looking at getting a new place in Northriding, just behind The Dome, but my only concern is that I work in Bryanston (right near the William Nicol offramp) and I'm hearing conflicting stories about how bad the traffic is going in that direction.
Does anyone travel a similar route? How long would I be forced to suffer every day?

I wouldnt live in Northriding. Traffic is a nightmare there in the mornings and afternoon especially heading to Bryanston.

Living in Randburg like around Ferndale, strydom park and those areas are better because its easier to cut through bryanston and skip the highway traffic :)

Well, leaving from midrand to bryanston at about 8:15am takes me about 45mins on a bad day's traffic... Never use the N1 :D

This is Johannesburg, bad traffic is an occupational hazard.... I live 6 kilos from work and it can take me 30 minutes just to get to my first turning which is only a kilometre away.

i don't live there, but if there is traffic in the northgate area on a w'end and there is almost always, then i can only imagin how it would look during peak hour traffic
