Who else agrees with me that EA games netcode sucks like a lemon.

Im specifically referring to their RTS. It even dates back to Red Alert 1. In the beginning of the map while little units have been built and not much buildings, everything is quite smooth.

However build an army and many structures and the things lags. I remember LAN'ning Generals. The entire game slowed down to the slowest pc in the game.

Blizzard imo got this right, and they understood the need to get it right quickly. However EA never quite got the message. Perhaps they could spend millions to get their netcode right.

Problem is that Generals was developed during troubled times at Westwood studios, and once EA got hold of Westwood, they rushed the project out the door. Every RTS from that studio [EA pacific?] have been built on the generals engine. Even in Kane's Wrath [never got RA3] those base bugs are still floating around. Viewing the marketing of EA with "An RTS/Expansion every year" shows they are just milking the SAGE engine for it's worth. I'm afraid the C&C franchise may be going the Need for Speed route.
