Spielberg predicts death of home consoles (http://www.ggmania.com/?smsid=27189)
Hollywood veteran Steven Spielberg expects to see the traditional home console die out, whilst virtual reality and 3D video games will make an emphatic comeback. In an exclusive interview with The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/audio/2009/may/19/tech-weekly-steven-spielberg-gaming-transport), Spielberg boldly stated that he forecasts the conventional video game systems to go "the way of the Dodo bird," as well as declaring his preference for PC gaming.
because Steven Spielberg says so... ;)

I've been saying it for years, combine the comfort & ease of use of a home console with diversity of PC you will be set.
All Hail the Spielburg!

+1
Teabags with LSD with some shrooms thrown in for good measure.
With the success of the Wii,360 and PS3 its evident that console gaming will be round for a long time.
If anything the PC should be doomed due to the rampant piracy, Developers seem to favour consoles these days
cause they rake in the most profits.

PC FTW, I own a X360 elite and a Ps3 and my pc gets way more game time than both my consoles put together.

PC=Noob :D only reason you guys stick to pc's because controls on a console are too hard to comprehend, so you need a mouse and directional arrows to help you out because aiming with analogue sticks is just "impossible" :D, I'd never bother playing pc games on either of my pc's, have to sit upgrading everything constantly, bleh

Crazy Mofos, LOL.... PC versus Console???? Mmmmh, PC i got a decent pc for games yet i dont play the mouse and keyboard thing kills my wrists, maybe i am just to old... But then again i was playing on the console since the birth of the Playstation. As far as superiority goes the PC is the best when it comes to graphics cuase the hardware is continually changing i cant deny that. But for gameplay and ease of use the pc looses out to the consoles as games are not complex.
So again lots of the debates come down to personaly choice, i prefer the console for games over the pc many may disagree... This is why the death of the console will have a huge uproar.
