I don't think many games are worth their price at the moment, even some of the good ones, but thats just me (and the economy) :p.
Dead Space is good, but not brilliant. I was told it's scarier than Doom 3 (which I enjoyed a lot), but although it has its moments, it doesn't come close. I like the perspective you have (camera view over the shoulder) which is something different from the norm and the storyline flows nicely with the gameplay.
Another thing I enjoy about Dead Space is that you can't just run around blasting away (wasting ammo). You need to make every shot count which adds to the tension. You also need to plan how you want to spend your credits (ammo or upgrade) because there isn't enough to get everything - unless you play through a second time (maybe).

The controls feel very clunky to me. I loved RE4, but after playing stuff like Gears/Gears 2 the control system feels a little archaic.
Also I keep running out of ammo in the demo on both levels, which leads to me hoarding all the ammo and not sharing with Sheva. I don't like sharing.

It's very Black & White between COD4 and COD WAW. You either like the one or the other. I like COD WAW more but then I could never play a game for too long before I get bored.

Well I loved COD1 and 2, I don't mind WWI or WWII shooters at all.
Infact we play COD 1 UO more often than we do UT3. But the "infinity ward magic" is just missing. Valiant effort from Treyarch, much better than COD3, but not quite there yet.
MP wise it just does not having the pacing, or the lasting appeal that the IW developed titles have!

Do you play ut3 online? or anyone else for that matter? It seems the sgs ut3 servers are picking up slightly, now that the price of the game has come down. I like the game and would like to compete in it online, but there's not that many ut3 players out there at the moment imo.
Word has traveled through the grape vines that iGame might be hosting a ut3 soon. I'm not really sure how true it is though (Xero, care to comment?). Hopefully their new server will spawn new interest in the masses. The iGame community has grown noticeably since I've joined. I consider myself an iGame regular and will most definitely support their ut3 server(s) if they ever decide to host.

Absolutely Brilliant! I give it 10/10, it really helps to play the previous Metal Gear Solids so that you can understand the story without getting confused. I only wish I could find MGS2: Sons of Liberty, i have looked all over the net to find a PAL version but everywhere is out of stock:(, it's the only one I haven't played yet.

Let me quote my experiences :D;):
I HATE this game. Reason being the frustration caused throughout the install. I bought the game, as a happy chap, got home, inserted the disc, only to be greeted by a Steam install. So I hesitate, but install it anyway. Then comes the game install which took over an hour. Then it needed to download an 80MB patch which took 3 hours! (512kb ADSL) - Steam speeds were stuck at 9.5kb/s. So once that was done, I was so excited to play, only to receive a notice to download the game (almost 7GB). Now it's going right back where it came from. The point is, the game that you PAY for isn't even included on the disc! If this is where gaming is going then I'm not interested.
I went and swapped it out today at CNA for Tomb Raider Underworld. Tomorrow I'll be ordering RA3 Premier Edition.

Busy playing that thing called "work". Finding it to be a massive grind though.
Evenings and weekends, I've just finished fallout 3 on the pc. And still having some fun with Need for Speed - Street Kings or whatever it's called on Xbox.
I might go back to Oblivion and try finish off the main story there now that I have nothing new for the pc.

Mass effect is a game thats in a league of its own, the graphics, voice acting, and gameplay is gorgeous. Onimusha 3 is also looks pretty good imo considering its a ps2 port and the game came out +-4 years ago, love the jean reno playing sections.

Just finished Silent Hill 4: The Room. Strangely enough only the last bit really felt like a Silent Hill game. After having played the first four I'd say this one was my least favourite so far, with the second one still being an absolutely amazing game. I still enjoyed this one though. :)
Now it's back to playing some more Silverfall.

Well the story wasnt too bad it pretty much finished the movie off for you... gameplay was fantastic you switch between first and third person views and you get........ drum roll pls................. a matrix sorta effect during game for example when you fire a bullet depending on ur angles etc.... you hit slow mo and follow the bullet from a third person perspective until it hits the target... you also get upgrades which is great because everyone likes getting achievements during games... I enjoyed being able to curve bullets into those hard to reach places but most of all the quality and gfx of the game were amazing I really liked it.... i would just as excited to see a second one if it were to be released... :D
