New releases having to be patched? That sounds very much like what us PC users have put up with for years.

/I can understand releasing downloadible content, but surely this sort of thing should not be happening when hardware is standardised.

From what I've read so far Prototype's performance is almos that of GTAIV when it came out...

The age old question PC gamers have been asking for years.
I didn't experience the problem fortunately; apparently it only affected a very small number of users.
Performance = fine. Game = shit
I'm loving the game actually. It's not perfect, but fun as all hell to play.
