Convert to pro.

+1
Winamp Pro is worth every cent.

McGuywer
26-06-2009, 10:08 AM
Okay but how does one then write to mp3?

Dixie
26-06-2009, 10:26 AM
The Pro version has the ability to convert from one format to another.

Saying that, there will always be quality loss, converting from one format to another.

Imho, rip or download in, at least, 256 kbps MP3 format. File size vs quality ratio is good. Other peeps are satisfied with 192 kbps.

But when taking a variable or a 128 bitrate WMA and converting to MP3, you are just destroying the little bit of limited quality that a 128 bitrate song had to offer :(

Depends on what you are using it for, Voicy.

If you are just using it to listen to MP3's, it's fine...

What else could you possibly be using it for?

MP3s = Winamp
Any possible Video = VLC

I _HATE_ giant UI's on an application. The bulkiness that is WMP makes me want to kick some snotty Java developer inna panty

I use it for identifying the "Unknown Artist - Track 1" type songs...and get the Album Art of said tracks...

Hi Valor.

Next ro the Quote button, there is a +" button that turns into a -" button when you click on it. If it is -" then it will be included when you click on the next Quote button...does that even make sense!?

No, that doesn't. That's why if you try to quote many parts of a post, and want to link back to the original post, just press quote, select and copy from the "=" to the "]" part.

Then select the text you want to quote, and press the little button that looks like a speech bubble. You will see quote tags. Inser what you just copied between the "e" and the "]" and you shpuld be ready to go!

I see, its easier than I thought. Thanks Dixie as well for the explanation.
