Servers Swell as the Quake Live Beta is Opened to the Public
Since the Beta was opened to the public, the Quake Live servers appear to have become seriously congested. I have been logged in and queuing for an hour, and am now number 18992 in line. And you thought home affairs was bad? Many users are reporting a wait of around two or three hours in the Quake Live Beta queues.
Just made an account and i give up already "Your Position in the queue is 65000" :eek:

Yep, right after the servers came back up I got 951st place in the queue. Tried again about 5 minutes ago and was position 63469 :(. I hope I'll get to try it some time in this millennium.

By pure chance I thought about checking out Quake Live not knowing it only opened to the public today, saw I was in a queue of 45000+ laughed and left.

even if you do get to play, according to some the latency is at best about 200ms

What's the point of playing if there's no Sa server up?
It's still worth checking out, see what changes they made to Quake 3 and such.

The queues dont seem too bad today, I got in within 25 mins :)
Was busy doing the test match, was pwning the PC 32-6, and accidentally closed the browser :(

I tried it earlier on my 56k line, it was loading the skill test map and download time was sitting at one and a half hours. Not too bad, but will be WAYYY better on broadband.
