Any MMO's you plan on trying that you couldn't in the past due to cap limitations? :D

I'll definitely be giving Dark Age of Camelot a go, as well as hopefully Darkfall. I can finally update Warhammer Online too :) I have a retail copy, but my PC broke shortly after I started the trial and I've been behind patch-wise ever since.

Man one day IF Telkom ever fix the ADSL in the area I can consider it. Obviously staying 10mins from JHB central is considered the stix for them...

Now I need to bum some downloaded clients from people with this option :p

Pity it's just after the holidays finish :( Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers.

Just after I leave Mweb for their uncapped prices being too high. Lol. Anyway, I am happy with WA and will stick to them unless I feel that 30GB isn't enough traffic at some point.

It's like rediscovering the internet :D

Lol it's actually quite funny, the hype around uncapped Internet these days. Back home in Namibia we've had uncapped Internet for the past 3 years. We might be behind in just about anything else, but the Internet has been quite decent. (Oh and our mobile service providers are ahead too. 500 free sms a day, every day, with no hidden costs, on a normal pre-paid account, ain't too bad either.)

You are 100% right there, thus the reason for the hype. The sad thing is that it had nothing to do with our economy or infrastructure etc it was just one greedy company looking after their own pockets rather then giving good quality products and services.

Anyway back on topic...

Yep, my apologies for hijacking this thread.

Seeing that I am also staying in SA right now, with uncapped Internet I'd probably try Warhammer Online and hopefully, some day, Guild Wars 2.

After I got my Axxess Express+ account a while back I just went all out and tried every MMO I ever showed some remote interest. Actually, I'm out of MMOs to try! I'm pretty happy with the ones I've stuck with though.

Rediscovering the internet is a pretty good way to put it Lydon =)

Oooh got a close friend who got this with a 4mb unshaped line. He is more than willing to grab things for me. He is downloading Fallen Earth and Darkfall as we speak.

I've always just stuck with WoW , but I'm going to go buy FFXI this weekend and also, a lot of those free MMOs they advertise everywhere , always wondered how they look :p The Banners always say something like "Join Millions of people around the world in one of the most exciting Online RPGs" or something like that , then when you want to download the free installation its 2GB and your like "Nevermind"

More like "Join Millions of Asians from around the world in one of the most exciting Online RPGs." I love Asians, but EISH they can grind with ease :D

Darkfall and Eve Online. Wouldn't have even tried them without 4mb uncapped.

I've been playing Dark Age of Camelot since release, and never had a problem on my cap. Only now that I'm dual logging it's eating quite a bit of bandwith, but soon it won't be a problem anymore.

It's the initial download of the game that's the cap problem :D

For DAoC maybe, a lot of MMOs aren't shy at all with huge patches. I played WoW for 3 years (have been off that crack pipe for a while now), since release, and in that time I've downloaded many gigs worth of patches, some of them 300-600mb in one shot (those are rarer).

Darkfall also regularly pumps out 300mb patches, sometimes once or twice a month.

It's cutsey and quite the grind I gathered from the hour or two I spent in-game. But it seems more polished than most F2P MMO's. Considering there's a free local server it can't hurt giving it a shot :)

Rose is quite fun, with the release of the expansion its easier to get to the fun levels, once you reach lvl 50 and get your cart the game is much more fun :D

Why not give Mortal Online a try. Apparently it's leveling system works similar to that of Oblivion.

I'm busy playing Runes of Magic at the moment, it's definitely the most polished free to play MMO i've ever played.
