Hey there all...

I just recently got a new flash drive, and I know it seems a bit paranoid, but I would like to encrypt it. I was having a looksee with google, and I found this website which seems to offer the best protection : http://www.truecrypt.org/

Is the above a good website? And will I be safe if I were to encrypt mt drive with this, and then put it on another computer which doesn't have it?

Also, I have never done this sort of thing before, so before you start bombarding me with acronyms, please can you help me out with what they mean, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Yup, I use truecrypt, very good, you can choose the encryption strength to your liking! I have an encrypted image on my flash drive I use to keep all my passwords on, so if I should loose it, nobody will have my passwords.

I downloaded it, and made a container on my drive...very nice. Out of interest, is AES the strongest encryption to use?

Well, afaik PGP is the best, not sure if they offer a free version for personal use?

I used DriveCrypt a while back. Pretty evil stuff.
