Story:

Well For those who played the first one the second one starts of three months after the events of the first game. You play as rick who after the first ones end when the mask breaks,reforms and taunts him to go back to the mansion to save his girlfriend.

Gameplay:
Well it is a side scrolling horror beat em ups. You fight undead legions which often take a disturbing form. You have weapon pick ups like a 2x4 plank,which you use to smack the creatures of torment against the wall and the way they done it was very satisfying.

But you use your own fists most of the time. The game is very gory even by todays standards. Each level has a boss you must face and all of them take a grotesque form.

Diffaculty:
Even on the easiest difficulty the game is very challenging. It is not a game for the faint hearted.


Sound:
The games sound is creepy and disturbing and adds to the anxiety of whats going to get you next. The music adds to the tension, so all in all the games sound is great.

Summary:
The gameplay is very fun and addictive and the creatures are very unique and distinct. the stages are all unique and there is a few different monsters to smack against the walls. This game is a must to 2d scroller fans.

P.s They are releasing all the sega genesis splatterhouse games with the new game that is to be released later this year. Which is a great bonus.
