Groovy Earthworm Jim was the wackiest and a all round twisted game. First off let me say that there is no game out there like this,I mean have you ever seen a worm in a cybernetic suit called Jim? I thought not.

Jim himself was at first an ordinary Earth earthworm who did very earthworm-like things such as flee from crows and eat dirt. One day, in the space above Earth, the evil Psy-Crow had cornered a rebel spaceship pilot who had stolen an "Ultra-high-tech-indestructible-super-space-cyber-suit" built by Professor Monkey-For-A-Head. The suit had been commissioned by the evil Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt so that she could further conquer the galaxy. In the ensuing space fight, the suit was dropped to Earth, and fell on Jim. By a stroke of luck, Jim managed to land within the collar of the suit, and it ended up mutating him into the large and intelligent (at least by earthworm standards) superhero he is today.

It is a platform game,you can use jim as a whip to attack enemies or hook onto scattered hooks,either to progress through the level or get to out of reach places. You have your main gun which has allot of ammo and you pick up ammo through out the level,and then you get the plasma gun might I add each really awesome pick up Jim shouts out,like when you pick up the plasma he screams plasma or atomic health he goes whipee! You have an assortment of pick ups,the rare plasma gun which obliterates your opponents,extra health and extra lives.


So the game starts off fairly strangely,you are in a place called junk yard city and after killing a crow and a junk yard dog you have to launch a cow. Through out the game you see the cow wizzing past. After each level you have a mini race with psy-crow,you have dodge and weave through the asteroids and collecting bubbles for extra continues. And if you loose you have to fight psy-crow. Every level has a unique setting from the depths of the ocean to the hive of the queen, and mini-bosses and the end level ones,all of which have weaknesses you must discover.


This game was just a place of madness,so if you fancy having a fight with major mucus or saving Princess-whats-her-name,and having a awesome soundtrack to boot this will be right up your alley.
