What would you recommend he buys (in terms of hardware and such).

Nothing too fanciful, just a decent, well priced rig that can play games.

Hi, my room mate and myself each have a PS3 and we'd like to LAN them to play some games co-op or vs, as he doesn't have much interest in getting a pc to LAN with me :)

So just wondering if anyone has actually attempted this and what games would be worthwhile getting, as we'd need to get 2 copies of whatever game we'd like to play. Also if it's possible to have 2v2 type of thing on any games, like 2 people split screen on the one and on the other, because that would make gaming nights pretty awesome.

Also a side note, may it be worthwhile trying to do something like this with both of us going online PSN? Would prefer to LAN if their is any kind of latency issues.
