I use file explorer i dunno bout you but ive got web sharing and ftp sharing and i dont need my internet on for it unless i understood wrong? but i use

AirDroid - I am just lazy like that (PC control of the device)
Angry Birds Rio - best in the series
Appbrain App Market - Easy to browse apps and install from PC/browser
ClockQ - Cool digital clock widget for my home screen
ES File Explorer - As said before, awesome, browse/manage everything even on the network
Friendcaster Pro - Best in the business (Facebook)
iris. - Just for fun (Siri wannabe)
JEfit Pro - Everything you need for a session at the gym, stats and timer as well
MX Video Player - Best one I could find for downloaded series/movies
ROM Manager - Does everything ROM related
Viber - I am on wireless 95% of each day, great to phone my business partner for free
VLC Direct Pro - Can pause and change movies at VLC on the PC while I lay on the bed
WiFiKill - Nice to have a look who is snooping on the wireless network or irritate my colleague by killing his connection (he doesnt know I can do this)
WhatsApp - off course
I have run almost all the most popular ROM's for my Desire, and I have now settled on the latest CyanogenMod, S-OFF
ANDROID IS THE FUTURE!!
