Okay - one piece of info - according to a thread on the GW2SA site submitting a server transfer is likely to put you out of the playing for a few hours. So ... no idea how that will affect things for you guys - I'm going to go ahead and do it anyways. If it means losing a few hours - well ... it's a beta, so I'll take the risk and provide feedback here

What Spartan said Server guesting, I think, happens on a char-to-char basis but the transfer is account based.

I checked on reddit and there was a post from one player who said he waited for about 5 minutes after putting in his transfer in BWE1, and about the same for a friend of his.

So - I'm making my call - I'll be heading over to PF tonight So I'll be keeping an eye out for those of you who feel inclined to join me there. Based on a thread on GW2SA, there's a pretty big group of SA players (about 50) heading that way this weekend as well.

I did a server transfer in the previous BWE... yeah it took around 5-10min, it works in a queue so the time is dependant on the size of the queue.

I have a feeling there are going to be some epic queues in this BWE, so I'll want to get in nice and fast.

Faster the transfer gets done faster can play and i have a 21st 2moz night... eish... gonna be a LOOOOONG weekend

Do you do this after you logged on, or can you somehow transfer before that? Thing is, I'm going out tonight, but will be at home for a little bit before I do. I won't be able to log in after BWE starts before tomorrow morning, at best, more likely only late Sat evening, and I don't want to miss out on the world transfers.

I'm not sure how the server transfer thing works - I suspect you'll need to be logged in to do it, since it's not an option in the account management.

Might be better if someone who's already done it can run us through the process.

I can't remember.... but it's in either a) your character creation screen or b) ingame. I think it might have been once you've selected your char.
