why didn't they go futher with the Nordic or Greek influences for that matter, why again with the far east crap, it as like nothing to do with conan imho.

From what I hear about the company behind the scenes, it's not surprising. A fish rots from the head, so invariably the customer gets a poo-poo game!

Yeah I must say I am exceedingly wary of Funcom after AoC and my general experiences with them.

There is nothing wrong with instancing, so many great MMORPG's use it successfully. But there is a limit to it, and I think sometimes AoC was walking that fine line.

As for saying they are copy X or Y. I can understand people feeling that way, but the fact is that mostly everything out there is a copy in some form or another. The real difference boils down to whether it is a good copy, and whether there are enough subtle changes to make it worthwhile.

The only thing Funcom seems to have done right is Anarchy Online. I'm still waiting for that graphics update

But I guess I can't judge as I haven't used my AoC account yet. The download x_X eish.

may the force be with you them, they want to use the AoC engine for AO and that engine is still far from being smooth.

The graphics & engine looks terrible.
I guess I shouldn't have looked at the GW2 trailer before the time.

    I still don't get the SW:TOR hype! Isn't it a very casual-friendly game? Didn't look like anything ground-breaking :S

I think it is mainly due to the setting.
