NO, this is the nice boss. he has money like weeds and no wife or kids to spend it on. so he generally buys us stuff every now and again. but he doesn want me to leave so he will give me more money to stay and he will sort out all my grieviences.
You are the law student here, try and look at it impartially. Money under the table like that sends alarmbells-a-ringing for me. Nice or not. Have them give it too you as a once of bonus on the books and its a different story but just like that.... I dunno. Feels wrong.
there is going to be an agreement between me and the boss that i will stay on at our company for 12 months from date of receipt of the "bonus".
