Lost... no. Gave up yes. When I was younger I wanted to change the world, make it a better place, now I would be happy for front row seats to watch it burn.

That's bleak... I maintain a somewhat naive optimism in regards to humanity (although I maintain realist views)... to be exact, a small portion of humanity...

Its only bleak if you let it get you down. Im past that, I dont let the stupidity of the rest of my species effect my mood negatively, I laugh heartily at their misfortune, secretly hope they die and remove them selves from the gene pool and then get on with my day.

People that know me, know I actually have a pretty sunny disposition.

I dont want it wiped out, but if I had a choice of stopping it or letting it burn... I would choose the latter. If I wanted it wiped out it would have happened already.

Top reason? Weak, ignorant self obsessed primates with little aspirations beyond their own petty squabblings on this spec of dust without regard or interest in the larger universe.

It isn't that there is no meaning in the Universe, it's that there is meaning, but it is so far above and beyond human understanding that we can never attain meaningful existence...
