I'm personally not a hectic gamer, but my fiance is and I like to surprise him with the latest games. So, this is my reason.

I had been a long term user of the mybroadband forum. It was a locally driven forum that I allowed me to interactive with people who could understand my points of departure. For eg, Having a 384kb adsl in 2012.

I had always been a gamer. All my life. However I was not aware of a South African gaming forum and website. When I came across Mygaming on the MyBB website its as if I go what I was always looking for. A local place with guys all of the country interacting and helping each other out. From figuring out how to deal with 3G internet connections on xbox live or the latest ps3 special at makro or game. Or even just talking about an upcoming game. Mygaming became my fav local gaming site and forum. I might not always post new threads but I always read and keep up to date with the site. Having MyGaming on twitter compliments this.

I joined a long long time ago, at the time I was looking for a place to discuss games, new ones, old ones and then somehow or other stumbled upon the Guess the game thread :-), I've not done a lot of posting on here, I am more of a browser here, cause a lot of the threads are interesting reads, the problems have already been solved or well I am too lazy and would just prefer to browse :-).

Started lurking from the early days. Main thing that kept me coming back was Taryns articles making fun of any and everyone. Stayed since because articles are mostly from a SA perspective, and although I don't post often reading through the forums about games from a players perspective is always nice.

I joined mygaming because my boyfriend is constantly on this site when at work. I need to know what sites he goes on and what they are all about
He told me about all the fancy prizes that can be won here and I thought well if I can win something here then it would be a really nice gift to him.
Also I have got some very interesting and helpful answers to some questions that I have been pondering about and have come to trust this place for a valuable source of information when I need it.

It all began on a dark and gloomy night...
When one of my friends told me about all these awesome updates about the latest gaming news he gets I couldn't help but ask him why he was so knowledgeable. So I asked him where he heard about these things and he told me it was on a site called MyGaming.

At first I was a bit hesitant to take a look at it but as soon as I got started I just couldn't stop, the site had a feel to it that really stuck to me. So I joined the forum and got involved. The news is solid and the comments and posts on the forums are also very enlightening. I like to find out what opinions people have about the latest games as well as give my own.

It's a very comfortable site to be a part of and it still continues to impress me

At first, I was a MyBroadBand member... but then I saw the link to the MyGaming website on their webpage. Well, I'll just say that I most definitely prefer MyGaming to the MyBroadband sister site cause you guys are way cooler and more in-tune to my interests than those guys are lol. Also, those guys aren't that open to newcomers ... well for me at least.
But ya, this site is Hella cool and all and I enjoy the articles, Especially Tarryn's articles (yes I said it) I think she deserves the raise she's been asking for (Am I allowed to say this???) Ah well, nevermind. Enough rambling.

I used to be avid poster on MyBroadband mostly for the gaming sub forum. When they made MyGaming I eventually made the move to MyGaming and what a great idea it was. I continue to visit because it's very active and up to date with news and reviews always hitting me in my face. Not to mention a great community and epic competitions. Then theres the fact that it's all local... gotta love it.
