IMO its not a good deal.the card is 2 generations old,has much higher power consumption, loads of heat, and probably has no warranty anymore. whereas the 7850 will have full warranty.can easily be overclocked to around 7950 base speeds.here is the thread that helped me make up my mind between a 6970 vs 7850
and in regards to that link.that 5970 is a 2gb card(1gb per core) and im pretty sure most 5970's were 4gb(2gb per core),and the 7850 is a 2gb card. This needs to be clarified since new games like BF3 and Max Payne can easily use more than 1gb of VRAM when you enable higher graphics.and at higher resolutions such as 1080P or multi screen displays, the VRAM becomes even more important.
with your power supply i definitely would rather take the 7850 and your cooling is sub-standard so the heat and power are very important factors
