    These are the only 2 options online: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/55063...eadphones.html, http://www.shopandship.co.za/index.p...com_virtuemart

    I'll ask my friend where he got his pair and get back to you tomorrow, if that's cool with you?

    Technically? Nothing, but the gap between price and performance is too great for me to recommend them to anyone. They have good sound quality but they distort the Bass output to give the illusion of great Bass, this is not noticeable if you primarily listen to Hip Hop or Club/House music as they pump out Bass but there isn't much a lot of definition or Bass manipulation in those genres. The sound distinction is not that great, especially when compared to the likes of the Sennheiser HD598's and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50's, which are actually better priced.

    @Dan, no problem man

    Dan, I bought myself a Sennheiser HD201 two years ago, and I must say it still blows me away.

    I listen to various music styles, from classical to dubstep, and the cans can fit the bill quite well. It's for entry-level studio monitoring, so the cans don't colour the sound or boost bass, which is perfectly fine with me since I do some recording work; the clarity of the sound shines and will make anything else below it sound muddy. Noise cancellation is ace, but you may want to use an amp to get high volumes; inserting directly into a laptop won't do it justice.

    I picked mine up at a Look & Listen for around R380. I think I also saw them in a Dion Wired, but I'm not sure.

    Those look really nice, and small in size, not friggin "I work at the air traffic base". Gotta organize myself that pair in case my current pair gives in... Its wires have already lost some of its insulation, so I was having to tie them around the band, closest to the headphone to prevent it from accidently snapping off

    Just buy the headphones from Amazon.com , even with the exchange rate and shipping, it works out much cheaper compared to what you get here. The Sennheiser HD201 and HD202 are actually considered to be on the cheap class. For the same price you are paying for the HD201 here, you can get a much better headphone on Amazon. Just click on the Amazon Global eligible option on the sidebar of your searches, to see what can be shipped here. When you add the item to your cart and you go through the steps to buy it, it will show you the total price with the shipping, customs, etc. You can directly pay Amazon for the customs, then you won't be charged more.
