    Hey people

What online store does everyone use to order\pre-order their games, I used takealot but they seem to be becoming more expensive the last while dark souls is a good example of this at R419 where zaps is R338

Zaps, kalahari, Takealot. Who ever has the best price at the time. But then again also steam if there is a 10% discount with added goodies.

    +1

Get a savings account with a "MasterCard" (like Capitec Bank) and you are sorted.

Steam is more expensive for new releases since PC games in SA are cheaper than USA/Europe. But yeah like other people mentioned, just check Takealot, Kalahari or Zaps and see which is cheaper.

The problem with Steam is unfortunately that it's very dependent on exchange rates. Currently, pre-ordering a new game on Steam isn't really worth it.

Other than that, I only ever use TakeAlot. Even if the other place's prices are somewhat cheaper, I'll stick to them because their customer service is unbeatable.

I like Steam, but with the current exchange rate, the small specials (i.e. 10%-25% off), ain't so special anymore. New releases are usually priced at $50 / R330-R350. At the moment though, even at 10%-15% off on Steam / Gamersgate, it is still more expensive than local stores.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.

Yeah since uncapped is becoming cheaper and cheaper I really only go retail if I have to. Besides digital distro orders aren't late, stolen, broken and can be easily re-downloaded.
