Exploit enquiry

Basically: I wish to enquire as whether or not this is an exploit?

I would appreciate if one of the admin that created the rules answer my question. Other comments are appreciated for debate. However I wish to have a proper answer with which to stand on.

I have read and am fully aware of the document exploits.pdf I was around when it was created.

I was on iGame Hardcore Delta with **DF**Gen.Mali on date 30/07/2012 at approximately ±2400h


The area in question is on "Overgrown" basically near the second screen shot that can be found in the exploits PDF and also shown at the bottom of this post.

Now as far as I am aware - standing on the back of the fence as portrayed in the exploits PDF is illegal and I agree with that, because there is no legitimate way (in CoD4) that you should be able to do that.
However I was not on the back of the fence, but rather on top of the fence its self. I was crossing from one roof to the other and I would like to know the extent of the areas that are considered exploits.

NB* I take heed to the fact that I did not return to the area after I was told it is an exploit. I simply wish to clarify.


Questions:

1. Is Roof 1 an exploit?
2. Is walking across the fence an exploit?
3. Is Roof 2 an exploit?
4. If you think any of these are exploits please elaborate as to why.

To answer your questions:

1. Roof 1 is not an exploit, but we do not allow it on Sabotage game mode because it is used for spawn raping and has caused many issues in the past.
2.Yes walking across the fence is an exploit, it falls under the rule mentioned on the first page of an invisible texture. The fences are also shown and mentioned as being exploits due to how they are used and how players interact with them or "clip" into them.
3.Roof two is an exploit because the way to reach it involved running on a fence, so it gets auto included into the exploits.
4.I have answered your questions. We do not consider these MAJOR exploits, very seldom will a player be banned when using them, not unless they use it after warnings or kicks have been issued. Bans on MINOR exploits are only issued to players ignoring the warnings of the admins.

This if course does not mean that you can use them because the risk is smaller than other situations or that you should risk breaking these MINOR exploit rules. Most of these exploits were not conjured up by our admin team but were in fact outlawed by league players and/or requests to have them removed from normal play.

My warning to all players using MINOR or MAJOR exploits is simple - Use the ground it is nice and flat and where you are meant to be any ways. We are also not ninjas that can or should jump nimbly bimbly from tree to tree like a cat with a sardine up its behind.

As a matter of interest would the second roof be considered an exploit if you used the brick wall in front to get onto it?
