“You get rewarded for killing people, raping women, stealing money from prostitutes, driving cars crashing and killing people,” he said. “That’s not going to affect the vast majority, but it’s only got to affect one or two and what have you got? You’ve got some potentially really disturbed young person out there who’s got access to weapons like knives or is good with the fist, can go out there and almost live that life now in the streets of modern Australia. ”
And only a few people listened to their dog and/or cat and decided that it was a good idea to go on a killing spree, yet you don't see anybody lobbying the ban of Pets in the household...

@Prophet, not backwards, upside-down. Its Australia remember.

I dont know if you guys remember about that school boy that attacked some kid with a katana or some sort of knive, that was blamed on metal, most people seemed to believe it was Slipknot that motivated this boy to do things like this. Although it can be a sort of trigger for behavior like this I, personally, don't think music or games should be blamed for this, maybe the person is insane or just has lots of problems leading to this

    potentially really disturbed young person
So wait, is the dude disturbed, hence a predetermined medical condition of some sort which would predicate him to violence or was it games motivating the person to violence? You can't have both. If thee people are 'disturbed' then how can rationale thought be applied to them, how do we know they didn't just flip out because they saw a happy face sticker?

People in positions of power really need to think before they spew ignorant nonsense.

Exactly. You can have people who flip out at things that are supposedly not considered as negative stimuli. Anything could be a trigger (literally anything), the stimuli itself is in most cases not the issue, but it more or less points toward a deeper issue with the individual. This whole "gaming kills people" nonsense should stop...

But seriously, flippin' out at a happy face sticker? xD ROFL
