    Default Microsoft sidewinder X6 problems

    Hi Everyone

I have this problem with my Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming keyboard

When I adjust the volume using the volume knob on the keyboard, for some reason it like turns down the volume all the way, even if I manually turn up the volume in the taskbar it keeps on turning it softer automatically, I have updated the drivers for my keyboard and sound card

    System is as follows

    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Biostar tf560 a2+ motherboard (using onboard sound card)
    ATI Radeon 4890 GPU
    4GB RAM

Please if anyone has a solution for me let me know

I had a X6 keyboard for a while. Had a few issues with it including the problem you have now. I am sorry to say I was never able to fix the issues with the keyboard, though I got fed up rather quickly and traded it for something else.

It might be a driver problem, or a conflict with your sound card/sound drivers. Or just the keyboard acting up.

hi i am also having a problem and need someone to give me suggestions and help.
I bought a X6 in November 2011 and by March this year most of the letters on the most used keys were worn away and one could only see red dots , i contacted Microsoft who replaced it with a X4 ,as the production of the X6 has stopped and after three and a half mothes i am experiencing the same problem.
could anyone suggest a different keyboard that has back lighting that wont give this problem?

I've had my X6 for about a year and a half now and I haven't had any problems with it yet, in fact it's by far the best keyboard I've ever had. I do, however, occasionally have problems with my X8 mouse. Sometimes it does not want to start charging and I have to struggle for a couple of minutes to get it to start charging.
