    Default Wifi

    Any Wifi specialist here?

This is what I want to do but not sure if possible.

Got my ADSL Router in some corner in my house it has wifi but does not cover where our tv is with my ps3 and Home entertainment system.

I wish to connect a wireless AP to the ps3 and Home entertainment with a Ethernet cable. And let the WIFI connect wireless to the ADLS router in the other room. Without having to connect the ADSL router with the AP with a Ethernet cable.

Hi its possible if both have wpa or using a repeater instead of a AP. There likely other ways aswell however that depends on the hardware your using can become complicated story to setup however it is possible. i know there ubiqueti equipment that forms direct link without any setting up as in "mimic lan cable" it was rather pricy at R1000 odd when i saw it last. hope this helps you in right direction

Yeah don't care for the brand as long as it does what it says.

How far is your PS3 from your router, since mine is quite far from my Xbox etc. and can go through thick walls using 300N wireless and can also use it in my garden and my house is quite big.

Could be that your router has weak wireless db

I would just buy a new router like TP-Link 8960N or test a friends one

Yup more information is needed, is it a b,g,n router, how far is it from the PS3, what settings have you done on the router, have you tried different channels as some common one's get filled up quickly.
I've got a 300mb/s one and I can still get 2 bars of signal strength in my garage about 50meters away through thick walls, with a smaller 150mb/s also roughly 2 bars.
