Default Xbox 360 - Various issues

My first problem is an audio problem. I'm using a 2.1 Creative setup, from my PC. Now when I play any game, the sub fails to produce bass when sound effects are at the rear left angle. Is this a problem because of having 2.1 connected or something else? I try to ignore it but it really becomes annoying when your hear sounds without bass coming from behind all the time.

My second problem is my wireless controller. I use separate rechargeable batteries in it(duracell). Regardless if whether they are full or not, the controller randomly flashes the lights in circles or just only flashes the top left indicator. I don't lose connection or anything to that effect. Is the console or controller confused with the batteries being full/empty?

Third problem is more concerning. When inserted, certain discs cause the console to produce a grinding/whining sort of effect when played. Only my Halo 3 disc seems to do it every time, gears of war 2 however did it now and again.

There is something else, but I have forgotten

    Anyway thanks for the replies

My Halo 3 disc does the same... I know that a lot of Xbox owners complained about the sound from the disc drive. Installing games on the HDD solves this issue. My controllers start flashing in circles when my rechargebles are going flat otherwise the light stay on. No idea why yours does that even if the batteries are full. Not too sure about your audio problem, maybe someone else can help you there.

Thanks Sep. Well my controller batteries seem to do it half way now that I double checked, still rather odd. Halo 3 disc is going in the bin soon, rubbish game anyway - no idea what all the hype is about imo. Havnt sorted out the audio problem yet, luckily its not too much of an issue.

No problem, funny thing, I felt the same about halo 3 when I got it first. Played 10 min on easy and died! took it out and decided this is a crap game! Then one day after work I got home and my girl and her brother were playing it co-op...Yip I never knew it could be played co-op Anyway, since then it really grew on to me, finished it on Legendary, and busy at the moment with ODST on Legendary. So give it a chance, you might just like it. And if you have LIVE, then MP is great fun as well

Whats the difference with ODST? It's the Halo universe that really irks me, I can't really get used to it. The midget voices from the little minions really did it. To each his own I guess. It really feels like you are playing a game developed for the underdeveloped minds of 13 year olds. No doubt there is fun to be had, but you need to adapt or gtfo Another thing, how long do Xbox controllers last till the analogues start dying?

what do you mean by your analogues start dying?
you should probably get those play and charge kit for your controllers. they seem to work better than the duracell batterries.
xbox disc drive is known to make weird noises irrespective of games. may also have to do with a particular batch of discs they used etc

i used to have the same 2.1 creative sound setup but never had any problems with sub...only thing is my sub seem to be really loud in games though. lol
