Most PC gamers won’t be needing a release schedule for this week, given that the date of 15 May has been burned into their brains from the impending release of the most anticipated game of all time; but there’s another dormant contender making a comeback.

Diablo III

Hands-down, Diablo III is one of the biggest releases of the year, and keeping that in mind, a lot of other publishers ironically pushed their games to later stages of the year in fear of being destroyed by the Lord of Terror himself.

There isn’t much to say about Diablo III that eager gamers won’t already know, but there are a few things to do while you make it through these excruciating hours until launch.

The Launch Day Preparation Guide can get you ready for Blizzard’s soul-stealing RPG, while you also e-mail your boss about being “sick” tomorrow.

If you haven’t already left to go and pre-load the game, check out the prequel bridging animation below:

Max Payne 3

The New York cop-turned-drunken-vigilante returns this Friday (18 May 2012) in the highly-anticipated Max Payne 3.

After all, there’s a ying to every yang, and Diablo III’s thought-out and intricate RPG system needs some slow-mo-infused shooting to balance the week out .Max’s third bullet-time extravaganza should make that happen.

Thankfully, the threequel hasn’t left the series’ roots and is set to deliver another compelling and drama-filled film noir story.

Max Payne 3 will also feature a new Euphoria-based animation system, which will allow players to shoot, dive and dodge with the inclusion and compensation of real-world physics.

If you want to get even more pumped for Max Payne 3, check out everything you need to know and the trailer below:

With Blizzard and Rockstar’s big hitters dominating the week, there’s only a few other options on hand, most notably the very underrated robot shooter, Binary Domain.

Resident Evil Operation: Raccoon City
Street Fighter X Tekken

Max Payne 3

Max Payne 3
Ratchet & Clank HD Collection
