Following their very impressive E3 2012 Tomb Raider gameplay presentation, Crystal Dynamics has released a selection of screenshots showing Lara in various predicaments in her adventure.

Tomb Raider is an origin-story reboot for the series, and will feature a much more natural looking and “real” Lara Croft in her upcoming adventure. The story begins with Lara involved in a shipwreck off the coast of Japan, leaving her stranded.

Crystal Dynamics has previously highlighted that they want to tell the transition story of Lara Croft from a young and naive college student into the toughened archaeologist we have come to know.

Tomb Raider is currently pegged for an 8 March 2013 release. Catch up on all the Tomb Raider news, and stay tuned to MyGaming for all the E3 coverage as it unfolds.
