Space Core

It’s too big. Too big. Wanna go home. Wanna go to Skyrim.

In this week’s episode of Best Thing Ever!, Valve has just launched an official Portal 2 Space Core mod. Yes, that’s the Space Core as seen in Portal 2, now in Skyrim, as a companion. I bet he talks about space a lot.

“Hey, Whiterun is nice but you know what it’s not as nice as? Space.”

“Look, an aurora! That’s in space.”

“Oh my god oh my god oh my god, I’m not in space.”

Anyway, according to the official stuff:

To celebrate the opening of the Steam Workshop for Skyrim, Valve and Bethesda have teamed up to bring you the Portal 2 Space Core mod, which will let the aggressively space-centric little robot tag along on your adventures in Tamriel.

The mod is called Fall of the Space Core, Vol. 1, suggesting there may be additional Space Core adventures scheduled for player-based evaluation at a later stage.

The mod also fixes an issue with the game that has remained unresolved until now, to the frustration of many gamers.

Since Skyrim was the only major release of 2011 without Nolan North in it, you should consider this mod a patch to fix that problem. You can now feel free to include Skyrim in the ‘Nolan North’ section of your video game library, which is to say, your video game library.

You can grab it at the Steam link below.
