MWEB Clan Connection opens registrations for PS3 MW3 tournament

New local community gaming initiative Clan Connection has opened up registration for a PS3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 tournament, with big prizes and everything.

If you’ve been waiting for a chance to show everybody on the PlayStation Network how good you are at pushing analogue sticks and pressing buttons quickly, THIS – THIS! – IS YOUR MOMENT.

See mom, everything is finally happening like you said it would.

The single-elimination tournament starts from 18 March, and has space for 16 active teams, and 16 reserve teams – presumably just in case any of 16 active teams don’t turn up (the “Because of Cape Town Special Rule”).

Most of the spaces are already booked up, so better get in there before they’re all taken and all your dreams are ruined.

Big wins include:

• Clan 1st place: 5 x R600 gift vouchers (R3,000)
• Clan 2nd place: 5 x R300 gift vouchers (R1,500)
• Clan 3rd place: 5 x R150 gift vouchers (R750)

I’m not entirely sure what those gift vouchers are for, but I’ve emailed the guys to confirm whether they’re good for leg waxes or cupcakes or what. UPDATE! They’re Kalahari vouchers. I wonder if Kalahari does leg waxes and cupcakes?
