Claptrap promises PC gamers tons of new features in Borderlands 2
He also wants you, baby. He wants you bad.
Gearbox has posted a new teaser up on the official Borderlands 2 website, in the form of a love letter from Claptrap. This letter is written specifically to the red-headed stepchild of gamers, the PC user.
Gearbox knows this particular breed of gamer was somewhat neglected in the original game, and are promising good things for the sequel, but I’ll allow Claptrap to seduce you:
“I’m makin’ something brand new. It’s called Borderlands 2, and it’s just for you. Sure, I may be sharing it with those fine ladies on the 360 and PS3, but they don’t have what we have. The passion. The sensuality. The improved native multiplayer matchmaking.”
Check out the full list of (promised) PC features:
- FOV slider
- 100% mouse usable menus/mouse wheel scrolling
- Remappable keybindings for keyboard/mouse
- PC-specific UI
- Native multiplayer matchmaking
- Push to talk
- Logitech keyboard support
- LAN support (including offline mode)
- Control pad support
- Integrated V-sync option
- Support for higher resolutions
- Mouse smoothing options (can be disabled completely)
- Cloud save support
- Achievement support
- Friends list support
- No port forwarding required
Fans will have to wait till mid-September 2012 to find out if he’s all talk.
