Bethesda have released the debut trailer for Dishonored, their upcoming stealth/action FPS which is being developed by Arkane Studios and is under the design lead of Harvey Smith, whose previous work includes the Deus Ex and Thief series.

The trailer itself reveals a substantial amount regarding the undercover title, as we’re shown the game’s protagonist, setting, enemies and gadgets which are expected to feature in the game.

The CGI video shows a captive man given a “gift” by a faceless character. The once-imprisoned man, which we can assume is the game’s protagonist, is then scaling rooftops in a style that would make Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio jealous, as he is pursuing a target for assassination.

The futuristic steampunk setting is juxtaposed with what looks like Victorian architecture lays the scene for some great action that then ensues.

Without giving away too much, check out the trailer for yourself:

Bethesda recently sent out a picture via Twitter hinting at a new announcement, which was speculated to be Skyrim DLC. Although, it’s clear that the announcement was the Dishonored trailer.
