E3 has provided us with a lot of gorgeous visuals. With Tomb Raider, Star Wars 1313 (which is said to be running on Unreal Engine 4), and Ubisoft’s surprise hit, Watch Dogs, gamers have been treated to some of the most exciting and gorgeous visuals the medium has ever seen.

Square Enix wanted to get in on the action and have shown off their new technology brought to you courtesy of the Luminous engine.

The demonstration is said to be in full real-time, and was emphasised by the publisher’s chief technology officer, Yoshihisa Hashimoto, as they manipulated certain elements of the video to prove their claims.

Stay tuned to MyGaming for all the E3 coverage as it unfolds.
