Watch Dogs movie could be in the works at Ubisoft

Could a Watch Dogs film already be in the works?

Even though it was only recently announced at E3, Ubisoft could be in the process of getting a Watch Dogs movie into production.

The publisher has bought out a bunch of domain names which hint towards a possible movie project.

WatchDogsmovie.com and WatchDogsthemovie.com, along with a few different variations, have been grabbed up by Ubisoft.

While this could just be for ‘future-proofing’ purposes, as to stop anyone else from taking the domains, it’s not unlikely that Ubisoft are planning some movie projects, as the company has previously expressed its interest in the medium.

Rumours surrounding a Splinter Cell movie also were brought to light recently, with Paramount Pictures looking to be bringing Sam Fisher to the big screen.

So far Watch Dogs has been confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, although no release date has been given.
