Diablo 3 Specs Revealed

Tired of limping through the Burning Hells in a hessian sack with just a blunted steak knife and a bin lid to keep you safe? Good news for you then, because Blizzard has deployed a Diablo III hotfix that improves the chances of high level loot drops in the third and fourth chapters of Hell difficulty, and throughout Inferno difficulty.

Bosses are now also “guaranteed” to drop at least one rare item for players with four stacks of Nephalem Valor, and at least two rare items for players with five stacks of Nephalem Valor. Have at ‘em, people, these things won’t just drop themselves.

The new drop chance rates are (where “iLvl” indicates item level):

Hell – Act 3 and Act 4

  • iLvl 61: 13.9 percent (old: 9 percent)
  • iLvl 62: 3.45 percent (old: 1.9 percent)
  • iLvl 63: no change (still 0 percent)

Inferno – Act 1

  • iLvl 61: 23.9 percent (old: 17.7 percent)
  • iLvl 62: 12.6 percent (old: 7.9 percent)
  • iLvl 63: 4.8 percent (old: 2.0 percent)

Inferno – Act 2

  • iLvl 61: 23.3 percent (old: 18.6 percent)
  • iLvl 62: 18.6 percent (old: 12.4 percent)
  • iLvl 63: 9.3 percent (old: 4.1 percent)

Inferno – Act 3 and Act 4

  • iLvl 61: 27.1 percent (old: 24.1 percent)
  • iLvl 62: 21.7 percent (old: 16.1 percent)
  • iLvl 63: 16.3 percent (old: 8.0 percent)
