THQ has released a new trailer for the upcoming action/adventure Darksiders II.

The latest video prepares you for the action ahead in Darksiders II, taking a very cinematic spin, further making waiting for the game that much harder.

Dubbed as the story trailer, the new video briefly catches gamers up with what happened in the original game, and shows off some of the creatures you’re going to have to take on with Death.

The story of Darksiders II runs parallel to that of the original game, and while War is rampaging across an apocalypse-torn Earth, his counter-part Death will be working behind the scenes to uncover more of the hellishly insidious demonic plot to overthrow the heavens with Earth as the battleground.

Darksiders II is set to launch in August 2012, and if you want to know more about THQ’s upcoming sequel, we had a closer look at the 5 things you need to know about Darksiders II.
