Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition gets launch date, prices
Remake of classic RPG Baldur’s Gate is launching soon on Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS
Just when I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to actually launch and how much money I should be putting in my piggybank just in case, Beamdog has finally announced launch dates and prices for the Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition.
The game will be out on PC on 18 September 2012, and iPad and Mac on an as yet unconfirmed date the same month. The Android version does not yet have a date – probably because it’s a nerdy Android not a trendy iPhone, amirite?
Pricetags are $9.99 for iPad and Android, and $19.99 for PC and Mac. The PC version is already available to pre-order (at a special $2 discount!) as a direct download from Beamdog, and will apparently not require any separate client install.
The Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition is built on a updated version of the Infinity Engine, adds multiplayer, and includes the entire original Baldur’s Gate game, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, plus loads of extras plus a miniature giant space hamster named Boo.
