Sony Online Entertainment files “Reign of Fear” trademark

Sony Online Entertainment, developer of DC Universe Online and Planetside 2, have reportedly filed a new trademark for something called “Reign of Fear”.

The filing details “computer game software and video game software; providing downloadable multiplayer, role playing, real time computer and video game software via an online website for entertainment purposes” as well as “entertainment services, namely, operating a multiplayer, role playing, real time game for others via the Internet and local area computer networks”.

There’s no indication as to what this actually is, be it a brand new title or perhaps an expansion for Planetside 2. It certainly sounds like Sony Online Entertainment’s standard fare, but we’ll have to wait and see where the new content actually fits in.
