After three years of not talking about it, Behemoth has finally decided to drop an info-bomb about BattleBlock Theater, its upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade platformer game.

According to a post over on Behemoth’s blog, the game features more than 200 characters, including – but not limited to – a duck, and some sort of… flying… raccoon… with antlers. Other stuff on the list includes:

  • 200 + levels to navigate and conquer;
  • 10 + unique weapontools;
  • Variety of interactive block types;
  • Online Multiplayer Campaign/Arena modes;
  • 30 Achievements;
  • Avatar Awards;
  • Soundtrack created by well known artists, and members of our community!

What the game doesn’t have yet though, is a launch date – which is probably the one thing everybody really wants to know, but the dev promises “some things we have to leave out for now, that we’ll be able to announce later in the year”.

Intriguing. In the meantime then, here’s a video of Behemoth’s Dan Paladin doing his thing.

We’re pretty excited for this one; how about you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and on the MyGaming forum.
