Darksiders II PC fixes incoming, promises dev
Vigil team working on PC update to address visuals and “additional features”
Vigil Games has responded to complaints about the PC version of Darksiders II, promising that an update is already in the works to fix issues with the visuals, as well as to add new features requested by the community.
Among other things, the game’s V-sync reportedly doesn’t work properly (or at all) for a lot of players, and there aren’t many options to tweak the graphics settings.
“Your feedback is incredibly important to us, so we have been working around the clock to address issues that some of you have been having, as well as adding features you have requested. The team is prioritising finding solutions to these issues,” said a THQ rep in a statement passed on to Kotaku.
“We are working on fixes for a number of bugs which can potentially block progression that have come to our attention, while also exploring adding additional features you have been asking for. This work includes V-sync updates, improved shadow map resolution, X-axis options, and additional keyboard mapping options (amongst other community requests). We hope to roll out a number of patches to address these issues in the weeks to come.”
Here’s hoping they’re also busy with an update for the console version – the achievements are glitchy, and a number of game-breaking bugs are forcing players to restart. Boo, Vigil. Michael Wincott as Death makes up for most of it, maybe, but even Michael Wincott can only do so much.
