God of War: Ascension rips into a release date

God of War: Ascension will mark the return of Kratos (although in prequel form) and the upcoming disemboweling-sim has been given an official release date.

God of War: Ascension will arrive on 15 March 2013 in the UK, and we suspect that SA gamers will receive Sony Santa Monica’s next adventure on the same date.

Sony also revealed the special version on offer; the Collector’s Edition includes a steelbook case, eight-inch Kratos figure, digital copy of the soundtrack, a PS3 theme and avatars, a double multiplayer XP boost, and a voucher for all future DLC.

The Special Edition includes everything listed above except for the statuette and the DLC pass.
