Torchlight II casts light on release date

Runic Games has announced a release date for their hit indie hack ‘n slash sequel

Torchlight II

The long-awaited, oft-delayed sequel to 2009 indie darling Torchlight now has a release date. Over on the developer’s own forums, Runic Games co-founder Travis Baldree has dropped the news that Torchlight II will be releasing on 20 September 2012.

We can apparently look forward to a more “official announcement” sometime today – hopefully accompanied by a new batch of screenshots and videos. Torchlight II will be on show at the PAX Prime expo this weekend, (taking place in Seattle, Americaland), so we can expect a few more peeks at the game ahead of its digital launch.

Currently, Torchlight II is only available for digital pre-order via Steam, with a discount offered on the 4-pack.
