uTorrent beta app now available for Android
Get your downloads on the go
File-sharing service BitTorrent has launched a free beta version of its “easy-to-use, super-fast” µTorrent app for Android so you can download your, um, Linux distros straight to your phone or tablet.
The app lets you download, upload, and search for torrents, as well as subscribe to RSS feeds, although it’s a beta version so obviously some things might not quite work as expected.
“µTorrent for Android (Beta) is currently free, and best of all, there’s no speed or size limits! To get the best performance and avoid running up your data charges, we recommend taking advantage of Wi-Fi whenever possible,” reads the product blurb.
Going on the user reviews, it looks like there’s no option to use Wi-Fi only, so some extreme caution is probably in order here. Those, uh, Linux distros can get pretty big, you know.
