SA National Team for IeSF Championships 2012 announced
Protea team to represent SA at international e-Sport event
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA), an affiliate of the South African Confederation of Sport and Olympic Committee, has announced the South African squad which will represent the country at the 2012 International e-Sport Federation (IeSF) World Championship.
The 2012 IeSF event will be held in Cheon-an City, South Korea from the 4th to 8th of October 2012, and the MSSA will be sending a team for both StarCraft II and TEKKEN consisting of one male and one female for both games.
Speaking about the 26 qualifying rounds leading up to squad selection, MSSA president Colin Webster said “Never before has the MSSA seen such a high standard of play. Every single participant played with skill and exhibited all of the traits of a true champion.”
Gigabyte has come on board as the official sponsor of the 2012 South African Protea Team.
