Star Wars Hoth battle recreated in Minecraft

Putting free time to good use

September 27, 2012
Battle of Hoth

While some of us sit around and stare vacantly into the abyss with our free time, one Youtuber decided to put his time to good use, and has recreated one of Star Wars’ most memorable battles in Minecraft.

The recreation is a blocky tribute to the Battle of Hoth, and one of the most impressive Star Wars homages seen to date.

The video was created by Paradise Decay – a gamer, musician, and Youtube artist. It took him two months to build the battlefield of Hoth and six days to film and sync the battle to the original score.

No mods were used, and the whole thing was put together using the in-game camera and effects.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
