Rayman Legends launch delayed
Tell Tiny Tim I won’t be coming home for Christmas
If you’d planned to pick up a copy of Rayman Legends with your new Wii U in November December whenever, better make new plans – Ubisoft has delayed the game’s launch from its original November slot to an as yet unconfirmed date in the first three months of next year.
No reason has been given for the delay, with Ubisoft saying blandly that “We’re happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations. We’ll have more details to share soon.”
So presumably it’s not finished. Or the devkits exploded. Or rabbids stole the source code in the night, and are demanding Michael Ancel’s immortal soul as ransom. It’s more fun making up reasons, really.
The (for now) Wii U exclusive is in development at Ubisoft’s Montpellier studio.
