Gaming connection of choice in SA

MyGaming survey reveals the gaming internet connection of choice among SA gamers

Internet Cat SA news

According to the September 2012 MyGaming Survey results, ADSL is the most popular primary gaming connection among South Africa’s gamers, with 79.93% of the survey sample using this connection type.

It is interesting to note the similar figure to that found in the MyGaming survey conducted in March 2012, which found 77.84% of SA’s gamers were ADSL users.

8ta 3G was the second most popular choice, possibly due to the large and affordable data bundles on offer from the mobile provider.

With a sample of 912 responses, we are given a good picture of the high-end SA gaming market and their habits. The following table provides an overview of the latest survey feedback. The results are ordered according to popularity.

We asked survey participants what type of broadband connection they use primarily for gaming (or gaming related downloads and services). The percentage given is of the total sample of 912, and this was not a multiple choice question.
