Halo 4 pirates banned from Xbox LIVE forever and ever

Some people never learn.

There’s stupid and then there’s unbelievably stupid, and playing a high-profile game on Xbox LIVE three weeks before it’s launched (and just days after it was leaked) is definitely in the second category. But stupid is as stupid does, and in today’s most predictable news then, Microsoft is permanently banning loads of stupid people from Xbox LIVE for stupidly playing Halo 4.

“This email is to notify you that your Xbox LIVE privileges have been permanently suspended due to illegitimate prerelease title play,” reads the ban notice sent out to people who really should have thought the whole thing through properly.

“Because your conduct is in violation, the Xbox LIVE Enforcement Team has issued a permanent suspension. Your Xbox LIVE privileges will not be reinstated.”

Noobs.

Remember kids, if you’re going to violate Xbox LIVE’s terms of use, be more subtle about it. Like, by not using Xbox LIVE.

For everybody else, Halo 4 is out on 6 November.
