I have just one pretty simple requirement for every expensive gadget in my home – if it can’t survive a 20-metre drop off a building, well, it can’t survive a 20-metre drop off a building and it obviously wasn’t worth buying in the first place. That’s also why I don’t have any gadgets in my home that aren’t totally destroyed.

Okay, so I made all of that up for dramatic effect because I actually prefer my stuff to work, but the guys over at Mac Weekend have no such petty qualms about this sort of thing and decided to lob a Nexus 7 off a parking garage just to see what happens.

Everybody know what happens, of course, but it’s about the experience. In total honesty, if I could afford to drop things off buildings whenever I wanted to, I’d probably get nothing else done. Humans crave wanton destruction like that – how else do you explain relationships, reality TV, or fast food? I mean, exactly.
