Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 targets a release date, again

Face-shooter grabs a revised launch date

Sniper Ghost Warrior 2

Having been delayed twice, City Interactive sharpshooting action game Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has got a new release date is its sights.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will now release on 12 March 2012.

The game was originally scheduled for a release in 2012, on 21 August, which then shifted to 9 October, also failing to meet that date.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, which is running on CryEngine 3, will see gamers heading into the deep, dangerous jungles of Burma to seek out weapons of mass destruction which are changing hands through shady deals. You are the lone sniper sent to intercept these dodgy doings by any means necessary. Because what would any military game be without shooting baddies in the face and saving the day?

The game is looking pretty impressive, and a huge jump from its predecessor, so let’s hope Ghost Warrior 2 hits the target third time lucky.
